What type of a motel is this?
The Colonial Village Resort has a casual family atmosphere. We have some nightly and other weekly units. We strive to help you to have a fun and relaxing vacation, and are happy to answer questions about local info.
Where are you located in relation to town and the beaches?
We are just over a half mile north of that busy little intersection in the center of Ogunquit on the Tidal River side of the road. It's a 10-15 minute walk to either shopping in the town center or to Footbridge access to Ogunquit Beach . We are on the Tidal River so during Low Tide, one can actually walk and wade across the clam flats and channel for Ogunquit Beach access. If you need to get back and the River is too high, come back via the Footbridge or the Main Beach . The Ogunquit Trolley stops close by so you are never far away. During High Tide, we have several rowboats for guests' use on a 1st-come-1st-served basis (more info several questions downe ).
How far are you from Perkins Cove and Marginal Way?
Less than a mile from the north entrance of Marginal Way and less than two miles from Perkins Cove where one can also pick up Marginal Way.
Does the Trolley stop nearby?
Yes, the Ogunquit Trolley stops diagonally across the street from us as well as just south of us on our same side of the street.
What kind of rooms do you have?
We have various room styles & sizes: Basic Motel Rooms w/ Fridge & Microwave, Motel Efficiency Units, 1 & 2 Bedroom Suites, 2-Bedroom Cottages, and 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments.
Do you have units with kitchenettes?
Yes, our Motel efficiency units, 1 & 2 Bedroom Suites, 2-Bedroom Cottages, and 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments have kitchenettes. A kitchenette includes 4-burner stovetop (no oven), refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffeepot, toaster, and some basic pots, pans, utensils, and dishes. The 2-Bedroom Suites have dishwashers.
I know your regular rooms receive daily housekeeping. How does it work when I have a Cottage or Apartment?
Cottages and Apartments do not receive daily housekeeping services. Each morning guests put out any used towels or even linens, and we replenish them by afternoon. We also take trash and give you fresh liners. Feel free to ask us for toilet paper, tissues, soap, extra pillows or blankets.
What are your amenities?
We have an Indoor Pool & Hot Tub, Olympic Sized Outdoor Pool (80 x 38ft or 24.38 x 11.58 meters), Tennis Court, BBQ Grills & Picnic Tables, Game Room with Video Games, Dock on the Tidal River with Rowboats (see below FMI), Coin-Operated Guest Laundry, Wireless Access, and Complimentary Continental Breakfast.
What does the continental breakfast include?
Pastry or donut (depending on the time of season), choice of 4 cold cereals, fruit, apple and orange juice, coffee or tea. You may either eat in our Breakfast Room, on the Outdoor Pool Deck, or you may take the food back to your room.
Do you have Internet Access?
If you have your own laptop or other wireless device, we have Free Wireless Access in the lobby and in most guest rooms. See office clerk for access code.
What's the deal with the Row Boats?
We seasonally have 6-8 rowboats for guest use during High Tide. The tide changes each day and we let the boats out from 2 hrs before High Tide until 2 hours after. They may not be used before 7am or after dark. To sign out a Rowboat, simply come to the Office at the designated time (click here for Ogunquit Tide Chart) and fill out our little form. We then give you your life jackets & oars. There are no reservations for Rowboats and they are strictly on a 1st-come-1st-served basis. We encourage you to ask questions about procedure & safety. Use at your own risk. We also welcome guests of the Colonial Village to take advantage of our Tidal River access if you have your own sea kayaks, sea canoes or rowboats.
What about the BBQ Grills?
We have 4 Grills for which guests supply their own charcoal and fluid. There are a few picnic tables to dine at.
Is there a sign-up for use of the Tennis Court?
No, we have one court and our guests are great at taking turns and being fair to one another. We often have spare tennis rackets and tennis balls to lend out at the front desk.
Are your pools heated?
Yes and No. The Indoor Pool is heated to 81 degrees. The Indoor Hot Tub is heated to 101 degrees. The Outdoor Pool is very large and only heated by the sun, so it can be chilly, especially in the spring and fall seasons.

8am to 10pm

What do I need to make a reservation?
You could try our online reservations system, give us a call, or email your reservation request.
We ask for your name,mailing address, telephone number, and email address. We require a deposit to hold the reservation.
* 1-Night reservation requires the total stay including tax.
* 2 or 3-Night reservation requires 1 night before tax.
*A 4+ day reservation requires a deposit of 2 nights before tax.
*Deposit for a weekly rental (cottage or apartment) will usually be around 1/3 of each reserved week; for a reservation of more than 7 days in a motel unit, suite, or other daily rental, the deposit will be 2 nights for every week spent.
If you call instead of reserving online, you may have up to 2 weeks from the day of making the reservation to submit the deposit.
Deposit may be either:
1. A personal check(Advance Deposits only -not accepted upon check-in at office), bank check or money order via postal mail or by telephone.
2. a Credit Card over the telephone or internet (Visa, MC, Disc)
3. Cash or Travelers checks in person
After we receive the deposit we will send a confirmation via postal or email.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 7 days notice prior to arrival for a refund of your deposit minus a $15 cancellation fee. If less than 7 days notice is given the deposit is forfeited. Credit card refunds are returned within a few business days and check refunds are sent out once per month. Early departures are charged in full.
